First chance - first love: The Faroe islands (1995-2001)

In 1995 Tomislav transfered to the Faroe islands, with the intent of wrapping up his playing carrier and becoming a coach. He stayed there for SIX YEARS where he played for VB Vágur, coached and played for B36 Tórshavn and KÍ Klaksvík. He was awarded player and coach of the year award at VB Vágur; He led B36 Tórshavn to it's first leauge title since 1962; with KÍ Klaksvík he won the Cup. He did wellEuropean competitions too: played 0-1 with Dinamo Moscow in the 1997 Inter-toto cup; and 0-1 with Ankaraguco in the 1999. UEFA Cup qualifier - impressive results for a small Faroese team from a town of less than 20,000 inhabitants!

Growing as a coach: Serbia (2002-2007)

In 2002 Sivić returned Serbia and took charge of the U17 national squad. In 2003 his team placed 1st in a tournament in Italy and 2nd in another tournament in Russia against very tough opponents (Italy, Russia, Brazil, Croatia). In 2004 his U17 team placed 3rd (out of 8) in the "Golden Grain" tournament in Hungary. They also won the "Four nations" tournament in Belgium. He briefly led the U21 team with good results in 2004.

During this time he worked on his own self-improvement and professional growth: he attended UEFA seminars in Italy, Germany, Greece and Switzerland; and he obtained all of the UEFA certificates (B, A and PRO licence). In 2004-2006 he led Serbia top league clubs FK Smederevo and FK Voždovac.

The golden years: Hungary (2007-2011)

In 2007 he took charge of Kecksemeti TE, a club that has spent it's entire existance since the club's founding in 1911 playing in the Hungarian 2nd and 3rd leagues. During his first season as coach Sivić did what generations of coaches failed to do before him: he won the NB II league and secured promotion to the elite NB I league. KTE's debut year in Hungary's premiere league was a huge success: they finished 5th overall, upsetting favorites on more than a couple of occasions. KTE also reached the quaterfinals in the Hungarian Cup.

Sivić left the club in 2009 to lead Serbia's U19 and U21 national teams. He was called back to KTE in late 2010, after the club had abysmal results without him. Sivić lead the team to win the Hungarian Cup that season, beating league winners Videoton in the final. With the first half of the 2011/2012 season almost over, KTE is currently 6th - and poised for great results in the future!
